Members of the Pakistan Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (PAPO) met with HR authorities at Mardan Medical Complex on 26 August 2021. The group comprised senior Orthotists Prosthetists, led by Mr Rafaqat Khan Afridi (Member PAPO & British Association of Prosthetists & Orthotists – BAPO ).
The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the concerns about recent job advertisements for Orthotists Prosthetists at MMC. This meeting was arranged after the response of MMC management to the complaints on the Pakistan Citizen Portal, in which they advised to visit and share the details. The group presented the reservations regarding the announced Job titles, grades and education criteria announced. It was also shared with HR that due to this advertisement, the O&P community, the seniors and practitioners are upset, but the students are also disappointed. HR representative noted these concerns and ensure that the final statement will be provided after the discussion with higher management.
